Tri Counties Biogas, is a unique new business designed to assist you maximise the profitability of your land through use of energy crops as used in Anaerobic Digestion (AD).
In response to a requirement from the plant for a year round supply of high quality feedstock, the business was set up to fulfil this need. Set up in partnership between Steve Shutler and Daniel Chippendale, the business has invested in a fleet of modern machinery including one of the country's first John Deere 8600i forage harvesters, supported by a number of new tractors and high capacity silage trailers.
We are primarily focused on the harvesting and storage of a range of crops including: rye grass, maize, whole crop wheat & barley and grass silage to be used in one of Europe's largest AD plants.
The business benefits from an experienced and committed workforce allowing jobs to be carried out professionally and efficiently. With all employees based locally comes an abundance of local knowledge, simplifying logistical challenges.
Using the latest technology and machinery we aim to offer a service which is both efficient and cost effective whilst trying to maximise the sustainability of our operations. The aim of this introduction pack is to give you the grower a more detailed understanding of the business and the services we can provide.
The business aims to cut over 110,000 tons of feedstock this year, all destined for the AD plant. An exciting future lays ahead with plans to increase annual tonnage harvested whilst investing in the UK's first fleet of lorries run on 100% CNG (Compressed Natural Gas) as produced by the AD plant.
